Setting Intentions | F.O.C.U.S. Day 8
“And I failed and failed and failed again…”
The Final day of this course.
Lately this idea of setting firm intentions and knowing your outcome has been a mantra in my ears over and over again. Everywhere I turn, I hear… “Know your outcome.” “Set your intention before you get started.” “What is your intention?”
Watch this video, now…where I set my intention for where I want to be in January of 2013…
5 Principles for Success
1. Know Your Outcome — Ask yourself these questions: What is my outcome? What do I want here? What is our outcome for this relationship? What is my outcome in this area?
2. Take ACTION — There is no substitution for action. “Even if you’re on the right track you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” ~Will Rogers
3. Sensory Acuity/Awareness — Know what’s working and what’s not working.
4. Having Behavioral Flexibility — Expand your emotional response to situations. Beware of getting caught in one type of emotional reaction in a given situation.
5. Operate From a Physiology & Psychology of Excellence — Hold your body in a confident manner as well as keeping your mind focused on a passion, purpose and intention.
Setting Intentions is Good For Every Part of Your Life
I have been trying to lose weight over the past 14 years. I’ve gone down and up, but never have gotten to a weight or size that I felt happy with. As a result of using this practice above, I have made a decision that I would not just know what I wanted, but I would take action.
I have failed again and again and again in the past. It was not pretty. But today, with the knowledge that I have learned from dealing with a team of Entrepreneurs who were on the up and up.
My Team constantly encouraged me to do what I had to do to succeed. I am inspired by the Dream Team of Empower Network. I am also inspired by the Empower Network Family themselves. It is beautiful.
They support me in my not only my business goals, but my lifestyle choice that includes a Liquid Diet. This is the route that I have chosen to drop 100 pounds by January. I believe I can do it at this rate of weight loss that I am dropping.
You can use the 5 Principles for Success to change anything that you want in your life. It could be weight loss, the way you raise your children (working this one now), starting and running a business, upgrading your position at your job, or even getting a raise. There are no limits to how you can use these principles in your life.
It’s time to make a decision. Do you want to be where you are now in the next 12 months of your life? From today until this day next year, would you be excited about doing exactly what you are doing right now with your life?
Make a change! Decide NOW! Now is all you have. Imagine if I hadn’t decided that I was going to drop weight NOW! Imagine where I would be. I would not be well on my way to meeting my intentions. I saw the end. I knew my outcome. The truth is that I did not immediately take action and I almost didn’t take action at all.
I thought again about changing my life and getting to my desired outcome, but one thing got me going when I thought that I hope I make it through this time and then I saw this…
I am turning 31 in just a few days. I was almost diabetic and almost obese. Now, I am down about 22 pounds. I am excited!!! I am sorry for Janet’s family’s loss, but I am grateful that she shared with us. This post put me over the edge and pushed me toward my desired outcome.
SETTING INTENTIONS IS NOT FOR WEIGHT LOSS ONLY
Set your intentions for your life now! Make the decision that you are going to change your life for the better. I will work work with you on your goals. Just decide, now…
GO TAKE ACTION NOW…
